The system

What is
Wing Chun?

Wing Chun is a Chinese martial art built around one idea: practical self-defence through structure, timing and efficiency — not through strength, size or athleticism.

Instead of competing for points, Wing Chun trains how you stand, how you keep distance, and how you respond calmly when someone enters your space. Techniques are direct and economical, which is why the system works for a wide range of people — including complete beginners.

Not a combat sport

No tournaments. No ego.

The academy does not train for competitions. The goal is understanding and applicable skill — developed step by step, at your own pace.

A complete martial art

More than techniques

Wing Chun is a long-term system: body awareness, clear structure and calm decision-making under pressure grow together over time.

Who it's for

Made for beginners.
Open to everyone.

Adults & teens

Regular Wing Chun classes are for adults and teenagers. For children, the academy runs a dedicated programme at kids-defence.de.

Complete beginners

No martial arts background needed. No fitness requirements. The fundamentals are built up systematically from day one.

Self-defence focused

For people who want realistic, principle-based self-defence rather than sport fighting or fitness boxing.

Structure seekers

A documented curriculum with clear progression — you always know what you are working on and why.

Long-term learners

Wing Chun is not a crash course. It rewards consistent practice with skill that keeps developing over years.

Training content

What you
will learn.

Posture & structure

A stable, relaxed stance is the base of everything — you learn to stand and move with intention.

Distance & timing

Reading distance and reacting at the right moment, instead of relying on speed or strength.

Body mechanics

Using your whole body efficiently — economical movement that works regardless of size.

Awareness

Perceiving situations early and clearly — the most underrated part of self-defence.

Calm reactions

Training clarity under pressure, so your responses stay controlled instead of panicked.

Practical principles

Directness, efficiency and simplicity — self-defence principles you can actually apply, not choreography.
